This sale is for five small (5) turmeric rhizomes herb plant similar to picture #1. Summer is coming so my bulbs start growing now. Buyer will receive the roots already growing similar to picture #1. Most likely they grow much taller.
Picture is for reference only.
They will produce nice white flowers and reach up to 5 feet tall.
Turmeric Curcuma longa is from South and Southeast Asia. They need humid and wet weather to grow, but not saturated soils that rot them. If you live up North, summer is ok for them. Sunroom or greenhouse are a must.
Turmeric tubers are yellow and highly aromatic. They are used to many asian dishes include rice curry, enhanced flavor in meat dishes and pickle turmeric. Their leaves can use to wrap food. They also use as medicines and ceremonials.
Some women use fresh cut turmeric roots to protect their skin as similar use as fresh cucumber.
